Shades of Grey: The Unspoken Challenges of Reviewing Secondary Credentials from Around the World

This abstract has open access
Presentation Description (for publishing in the conference program)
Reviewing secondary-level credentials is not black and white. For example, should GCSEs be required for university admission or should A Levels? Are the final examination results sufficient or should one also request the year-by-year transcripts? What about high school systems that conclude after a total of 10 years of education instead of 12 or 13? The presenters provide a global overview of secondary education and then share their experiences with handling these grey areas! Perspectives from the US, Canada and Norway are highlighted.
