Accreditation Across Borders: How Do We View Cross-Country Accreditation?

This abstract has open access
Presentation Description (for publishing in the conference program)
In the past, many evaluators only recognized accreditation granted by the country or region in which the academic content is delivered. If a Canadian university operated in United Arab Emirates, the university would ideally be accredited by the Ministry of Education, UAE. Today, however, technology and increased global access to international education has created a new and interesting paradigm regarding how we look at accreditation and recognition across borders. This session explores specific case studies, as well as different methods of recognizing education obtained at schools which bridge two or more countries.
