Presentation Description (for publishing in the conference program)
Due to nearly twenty years of sanctions, it has been difficult to understand the latest educational trends in Sudan. Recently, after the partial lifting of those sanctions, a group of representatives from U.S. institutions, supported by IIE and the Sudanese MOHESR, visited Sudan and met with ministry and university representatives as well as students and faculty. In this session the sole credential evaluator to participate in the visit shares new insights on Sudanese education, covering the educational structure, emphasizing the new accreditation and quality assurance system, and discussing the impact of the sanctions on educational institutions.
