Presentation Description (for publishing in the conference program)
Join this session to learn about a Canada wide project which sought to identify and analyse the typology of international document assessment practices and perspectives in colleges and universities. Led by Joanne Duklas, a higher education expert and former post-secondary university registrar, the study and final report focused specifically on transfer and exchange credit. Newly published, the peer-reviewed national report examines the current state at Canadian universities and colleges, the quality assurance frameworks impacting international document assessment, formal conventions such as the Lisbon Recognition Convention, and best practices evident in other jurisdictions.
