Presentation Description (for publishing in the conference program)
Calculating GPAs can be a tricky business - grade scale interpretations, credit designations, and years of study all contribute to the bottom line. What happens when evaluators use different interpretations of these factors? How can students get a straight answer about how their documents will be assessed? This session provides an opportunity for both new and experienced evaluators to understand how varying philosophies and practices can alter the outcome of an evaluation. Presenters with different backgrounds demonstrate their processes and attendees may be asked to participate in some calculation exercises!
