This presentation covers Japan?s secondary and post-secondary education system post-World War II. It provides a basic overview of the system before delving into the more complicated details of technical and associate degrees, including Junior Colleges (Tanki Daigaku), Technical Colleges (Koto Senmon Gakko), Special Training Colleges (Senshu Gakko) and other types of post-secondary education. Sample documents and descriptions of entrance requirements, typical program duration and accreditation bodies are provided as well as a review of common common written characters frequently seen on Japanese documents.
