Presentation Description (for publishing in the conference program)
The purpose of this presentation is to describe some common issues and best practices when evaluating foreign credentials for U.S. immigration purposes. In addition to a basic overview of evaluations for employment-based immigration and USCIS requirements, presenters specializing in this area identify how evaluations for immigration differ from other academic evaluations. The presentation also includes real examples of Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and Notice of Intent to Deny (NOIDs) and discuss the role of credential evaluation services as an expert opinion provider in responding to USCIS.
