Call for Proposals
The TAICEP Professional Development and Training Committee invites you to share your expertise by submitting a proposal to present a workshop or session at the 5th Annual Conference, October 21-24, 2019 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

TAICEP is a membership organization for anyone involved in the highly specialized field of international credential evaluation. Our Annual Conference is the foremost professional development and learning opportunity for international credential evaluators from around the world. Evaluators new to the field as well as those with years of experience come together to learn, share knowledge, network, and promote the interests of our unique industry.

Whether you work at a higher education institution, independent agency, ENIC/NARIC office, government ministry, licensing authority, examination board, or something else entirely, we invite you to get involved! Submit a proposal that shares your knowledge, experiences, ideas, hopes, frustrations, or anything else that inspires you and will inspire others.

NEW in 2019!
Conference Message Board: Do you have an idea for a session, but you?re searching for a co-presenter? Head over to the Conference Message Board. It?s a great place to suggest session proposals, network with your colleagues, and recruit a co-presenter.

2-Part Sessions (75+ minutes): TAICEP Members have told us they want to see comprehensive sessions that dive deeper, include more examples, and allow more time for discussion. This year presenters have an option to propose in-depth sessions, scheduled in two parts over consecutive breakout session time slots. If you?re interested in holding a 2-part session, submit your proposal today!

Submission Deadline
The submission deadline has been extended one week, to Monday February 11th, 2019. The Committee will review your proposal and notifications will be sent out in mid to late February.

Presentation Format
We strongly encourage creative presentations that are dynamic, engaging, and promote audience involvement. Presenters must bring their own laptops. Projectors, speakers, and WIFI internet access will be provided.

Full and half-day pre-conference workshops will be held on October 21st. Pre-conference workshops offer the opportunity for in-depth topic exploration, with ample time for presentation, interactive discussion, case studies, and hands-on work. These workshops are limited in size and should focus on teaching new skills and providing new information.

Concurrent breakout sessions will be held on October 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, and can be 60, 75, or 75+ minutes in length. They can be offered in a variety of classroom formats, such as individual presentations, panel discussions, work in small groups, or interactive games.

Topic Guidance
We welcome proposals from people of all backgrounds and levels of experience. With a diverse group of attendees, there is a need for sessions intended for both newcomers and advanced practitioners. TAICEP members have specifically requested workshops and sessions that address the following topics:

  • Country Specific: Updates to education systems?African countries, Middle East, India, China, Latin American countries, Bologna signatory, ?high risk,? etc. Also, non-university, professional and vocational/technical education, transnational education.

  • Quality Assurance: Updates from examination boards, qualification agencies, and recognition bodies. Fraud detection, verification practices, and resources.
