Recognition of qualifications is a key to further education and labor opportunities. Globally the education sector has shown great commitment to the issue of forced migration. Numerous local and national initiatives have been put into action to make education accessible to people affected by forced migration. However, mass migration is, and will remain, a global issue needing global solutions. This session provides insight into the practical implementation and development of the qualifications passport methodology as a global tool and provides an update on UNESCO's work on the first Global Recognition Convention, where issues of recognition of forced migrants' qualifications will be directly addressed.
